No, they are not. If you dig in any school and really ask the best teachers in these schools if they feel teacher's unions are helping our kids they will tell you point blank that they are not. There are teacher organizations getting together like Educators 4 Excellence, Teach Plus, etc and many great teachers are fed up with what the Teacher's Unions are pushing. If you talk to Principals it is even more black and white. It is almost impossible for a principal to terminate a bad teacher. How can you run a high performing school if you can't determine who's teaching the kids?by Carol K.
