I like this a lot. Especially the point of empowering a visionary leader. One of my biggest frustrations with public school today is the fact that Principals and school leaders can't really pick the teachers in their school. I was talking to a Principal in LAUSD and they said they have some say in the teachers they accept, but when they make a mistake and accept a bad teacher they are pretty much stuck with them. They actually hire a teaching aid to really teach the class... and they make the bad teacher just sit in the corner and hope that eventually they quit or request a transfer. Sadby Laurie Crick
