This report lays out a good strategy for short term fixes, but we also need to make sure we have the proper leadership and governance of LAUSD to make the right budget decisions on an ongoing basis. The fact that we built a $600 million school building (RFK), the costliest in the nation, is a glaring example of mismanagement of public funds. Buildings don't teach kids - that money should have been spent on what matters (teacher development, curriculum, STEAM resources, etc).
