We need to get people working together. Right now there are entrenched two-sided armies that are just talking about what they feel works and not showing a willingness to cooperate. One side sees "reformers" and says things like "billionaires trying to privatize education." The other side sees teacher's unions as "only doing what is good for teachers at the expense of kids." I think most people genuinely want to do what is best for kids. We need to focus more on areas of compromise - continuing to support schools that are doing well, recruiting and developing the best teachers, looking at what it will take to fix our budget issues.by katie
