I don't think this is fair for a couple of reasons. 1. Charter Schools do have more parental involvement - given that they have parents who are at least pushing to get them into different schools; and 2) it doesn't prove that paying teachers more wouldn't attract better teachers or give them more time to focus on school (rather than a 2nd job). I do believe that if we really look at teacher pay and raise it to a liveable wage (at least cost adjust depending on where people live) then we'd attract better teachers and get ahead or our nationwide teacher shortage.by katie
