While I agree with the state board of education's attempt to measure the whole child and I especially like their inclusion of a school climate survey to begin tracking social and emotional development in the same way we track academic development. But the overall framework is a Rube Goldberg contraption that low income parents will never effectively be able to use as a tool of parent empowerment to compare school progress and make empowered decisions about the educational destiny of their children. The framework also seems to be in direct violation of federal law.by Ben
