This is a tricky one for me, but on the margin I'm going to say I don't agree with standardized tests. I think they put too much pressure on the kids, parents and the students to just focus on the test scores and not the other things that are so important for kids character like: love of learning, teamwork, effort, grit, collaboration, communication, self awareness, etc. At the same time I do worry that without some quantifiable measures it is tough to tell how a school is doing. And some schools may appear great... but if you only find out when your kid takes the SAT/ACT in late high school it is too late. So perhaps we need some form of standardized tests, but we need to demphasize them.by LC77
